Starship Super Heavy destroyed itself intentionally: Here's what happened after launch
By India Today Science Desk: Moments after the Raptor engines came to life on the Super Heavy, lifting the Starship off its feet and onto its maiden orbital flight, the world's most powerful spacecraft exploded. Starship Super Heavy exploded after the two stages of the behemoth spacecraft failed to separate. The fully configured Starship powered by the Super Heavy rocket lifted off from billionaire Elon Musk’s aerospace facility Starbase in Boca Chica, Texas for its maiden orbital flight. But, not all was right, it seems, as out of the 33 raptor engines, at least six did not ignite, adding to a reduced thrust generation needed to escape Earth's mighty gravitational pull. WHAT REALLY HAPPENED? While SpaceX in a tweet said that Starship experienced a rapid "unscheduled disassembly before stage separation," the rocket was intentionally destroyed by its self-destruct system, exploding and plummeting into the water.
